Nike Dart was launched on Monday morning (Sept. 25^th) at XPRS 2006. It flew on an Aerotech 54mm K185 long burn motor. The boost was perfectly straight up. It went into a clear blue sky but completely disappeared from view once the tracking smoke was exhausted. Recovery proceeded normally and it landed about 0.25 miles away from the pad. This was the 21^stflight of the Nike Dart and it's highest yet. It reached 11,349 feet.

Nike Dart is 4.5 feet long, 2.6 inches in diameter and was 8.4 pounds including the motor.

I built my Nike Dart with the K185 motor specifically in mind. It has also become a tradition to fly it on the K185 at XPRS. I have done so for five years in a row now. It never gets old watching a nice flight.

Just like in past years, it was recovered with no damage on this flight.
