Coldfire Flight #1
October 7, 2007
The first flight of
Coldfire was
at the Tripoli
Idaho "Birds of Prey" launch on a HyperTEK K240 hybrid motor. The wind
was blowing about 10-12 MPH when it was launched so Coldfire weather
cocked into the wind. This reduced the peak altitude to 3,022 feet.
However, it was recovered with absolutely no damage. It was a great
first flight!
Here Vern is standing next to
Coldfire prior to its maiden flight.
